Production technology
The process of bacterial fermentation of methane and obtaining inactivated biomass using producer strains, for example, Methylococcus capsulatus.
  • Fermentation
Bacteria are grown in fermenters on natural gas. The biomass grows rapidly and accumulates protein
  • Inactivation
The finished biomass is carefully treated to completely stop the vital activity of the bacteria while preserving all beneficial properties
  • Drying and packaging
The biomass is dried into a stable powder or granules and packaged in a form convenient for storage and transportation
Application in aquaculture, livestock and poultry farming
Gaprin is used as a feed additive. Specific dosages are recommended for different species of animals and poultry. Prospects for food applications are also noted
  • Aquaculture
Gaprin is most effective in aquaculture (especially in starter feeds). It successfully replaces 25-75% of fishmeal (sometimes up to 20-30% of the total feed weight).
  • Livestock
Gaprin is used as a high-protein additive in compound feeds and protein-vitamin-mineral concentrates (PVMC) for pigs, cattle and other animals.
  • Poultry farming
It works well in the diets of broilers, laying hens and quails.
Advantages of Gaprin
High protein content, good digestibility, environmental friendliness and economic benefits. Comparison with fishmeal and soybean meal.
  • High protein content and a complete amino acid profile
Gaprin contains 70-78% crude protein, while high-quality fishmeal typically has 50-70% (average ~64%), and soybean meal has 43-48%.
Its amino acid profile is close to that of high-quality fishmeal and surpasses soybean meal in key essential amino acids (lysine, threonine, tryptophan, valine, etc.). It is also richer in B vitamins (especially B12).
  • High digestibility and proven effectiveness
Gaprin protein is well digested and absorbed. In aquaculture trials (whitefish, muksun, sterlet, trout), partial or complete replacement of fishmeal with gaprin resulted in:
    • weight gain of +85–106% compared to the control,
    • survival rate of 87–89% versus 51–61% on fishmeal,
    • reduced feed conversion ratio.
    • It has no negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract or the digestibility of other nutrients.
  • Environmental friendliness + economic benefits
Ecology: Produced from natural gas, it requires no arable land or freshwater and does not compete with food production (unlike soy). It does not depend on fishing and does not deplete ocean resources.
Economy: Stable quality with no risk of adulteration or sharp price fluctuations (typical of fishmeal). Estimated cost is significantly lower. It reduces the cost of compound feeds and dependence on imports.
